The Project PIECE – Digital Product Passport (DPP), aimed to support the battery industry’s response to the EU Circular Economy through training, officially commenced on December 14th, 2023.
The project consortium – composed of 7 partners: AIMEN Technology Center (SP), Automotive Skills Alliance-ASA (BE), European Welding Federation -EWF (BE), FAN 3D (PT), OLIFE (CZ), Minespider (CH) and UddannelsesCenter Ringkøbing Skjern – UCRS (DK) (project coordinator) -,
convened online for the first time, engaging in discussions about project intricacies and collaborative approaches.
The initial activities outlined during this virtual meeting included introductions among the consortium members, establishing a cohesive project visual identity, and initiating collaborative efforts for the creation of the inaugural survey. This survey is designed to gauge the existing knowledge levels pertaining to the Battery Digital Product Passport. Additionally, a quality framework has been defined and shared with all participating members.
The next focus for the Project Partners is to progress towards the first milestone, which involves the development of surveys aimed at assessing industrial needs. These surveys will be tailored for both industries and Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers, marking a significant step forward in the project’s objectives.
